COGENT employs, manages and directs the activities of the Global Remote Access Support team at the World Bank in Washington, DC. This team allows over 3000 World Bank employees to travel the world secure in the knowledge that their efforts and technology are backed by top notch talent.

The World Bank is a vital source of financial and technical assistance to developing countries around the world.  Made up of two uniquely development institutions, it is owned by 185 member countries that  provide low-interest loans, interest-free credits and grants to developing countries for a wide array of purposes that include investments in education, health, public administration, infrastructure, financial and private sector development, agriculture, and environmental and natural resource management.
